In this role, you will play a leading part in our dynamic product team, delivering essential growth and Electric propulsion solutions for our maritime business. Our POD propulsion products are advanced direct electric drive propulsors being installed on the high-end maritime vessels. With industry-leading tools and expertise, Kongsberg Maritime is shaping the future of green shipping.

We are now looking for a new Technical Product Manager to strengthen our team as we are in an exciting phase of growth and product development. This role will be central in leading the development of new products when we expand our POD offering. You will interact with partners and suppliers and manage a team of engineers to deliver the new products for the future of maritime propulsion. You will be responsible for a family of products to secure the product performance throughout its lifecycle together with a team of positive engineers delivering excellence.

Key accountabilities

• Lead product development
• Be the technical authority for a family of POD propulsion products
• Transform business and market expectations to new products
• Develop a network and work cross functional with other parts of our business to deliver excellent system solutions
• Support our customers with technical solutions

Qualifications

• To succeed in this position, you ideally have a master’s degree or higher in engineering, with experience in product development.
• Experience or understanding within naval engineering, marine propulsion, and competence in electric machines is beneficial.
• You like working together with other people to solve technical challenges and have an innovative mind both when it comes to teams and technology. We foster a creative, collaborative vibe where everyone can bring their ideas to the table.
• Due to the nature of an international customer and supplier base, a full professional proficiency level of English, is valuable. Communication skills in other languages is considered an advantage.
