Working in Risk

As part of our growth strategy, Statkraft is expanding its Origination activities across Europe. Currently, we have long-term renewable energy portfolios of third-party contracts in various European markets consisting of tailor-made Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) and sales contracts to large end customers.As part of Statkraft’s Risk Management team you will work on an independent assessment of Statkraft’s Origination portfolios in Northern Europe and UK or South Europe. You will in particular:

  • Report regularly on P&L and risks of the origination portfolios 
  • Stay up to date with long-term market developments in renewable sector
  • Provide comprehensive risk evaluation of transactions and deal structures
  • Improve the existing methods and analytic tools for renewable energy assets

 

About you:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Risk Analyst with the essential skills to future-proof our business and renewable energy solutions. We like to hear from you if you have:

  • University degree in a quantitative discipline like Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Engineering or Statistics
  • Several years of professional work experience in market risk management, energy trading or structuring of renewables transactions
  • Solid programming experience in Python, Matlab or R. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of energy markets, especially with focus on UK, Nordics, Germany and/or South European region would be an advantage. 
  • Good communication skills and confident approach towards stakeholders
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken – proficiency in other European languages is advantageous
