An exciting opportunity awaits you as QHSE Manager in Kongsberg Maritime. You will play a key role ensuring operational success through QHSE compliance and delivery on key success factors. Our QHSE Manager deliver knowhow and expertise to ensure we move towards a more sustainable Maritime Industry. You will support our business unit Vessel Systems, part of our Automation and Control division.

Our QHSE Manager is part of the divisional Global QHSE team, delivering Quality assurance and functional HSE together with central stakeholders. You report to the divisional QHSE Director and functionally to the Senior Vice President, Vessel Systems. As our QHSE subject matter expert, you should be curious, have passion for operational excellence and have a keen eye for improvements as prevention is the cure. Responsibilities

• Act as the QHSE business partner for and support the business unit management proactively with QHSE related issues, identify and drive improvements.
• Actively contribute with QHSE expertise into Vessel Systems business unit Management team and support Vessel Systems deliveries as appropriate.
• Support and have an operational view of the business unit performance.
• Ensure fit for purpose processes and drive process improvement culture.
• Carry out assessments and audits to secure adherence to the Business Management Systems
• Ensure effective quality assurance, risk assessment in the business unit and compliance to our standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001/ OHSAS 18001, 27001, 31001) and other relevant certification.
• Ensure relevant certification are in place through planning, preparation, and execution.
• Deliver world class QHSE support and manage QHSE performance through adequate KPIs.
• Promote and communicate best practices and lessons learned with internal stakeholders.
• Travel as required.

This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority, clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check.

Qualifications and experience

• Preferably bachelors or master’s degree in QHSE, hardware/software design, engineering, safety, computer science or information systems
• Experience from companies that are subjected to ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 / OHSAS 18001, 31001 and ISO 27001 certifications.
• Work experience from functional safety, audits, project management and process tailoring.
• Interest in quality methodologies, tools, problem solving and configuration management.
• Verbal and written communication skills in English
