Technical Purchaser

We are accepting online applications for Technical Purchaser position for Höegh LNG Services ROHQ located in Makati City.

The Purchaser will be responsible for the operational purchasing and logistics for the vessel which includes activities such as handling of requisition and orders, logistical services and supplier management.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure that every purchase is made competitively without sacrificing the quality
  • Ensure that supplier quotes the right quantity as specified in the requisition with the best possible delivery time
  • Ensure optimal use of global vs local suppliers for each FSRU location
  • Arrange logistics in the most effective way
  • Authorize payment of invoice in accordance to payment terms
  • To verify requisition details accuracy and support documents as needed, answer supplier and customer inquiries about order changes or cancellation.
  • To obtain quotation from approved supplier based on the requirements in compliance with the most optimal supplier selection in terms local vs global supplier.
  • To review prices and product specification from suppliers to determine which would provide best offer including all cost elements like cost price, transport, tax and duties.
  • To place purchase orders upon approval by Technical Superintendent
  • To monitor and expediting orders, verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered, resolves shipments in error with suppliers
  • To manage logistics in most optimized way
  • To ensure that invoice accuracy as per received order and proceed the approval of payment
  • Ensure suppliers comply with relevant requirements in ISO 9001/14001 and company policies
  • Track deliveries and make sure to receive exactly what was order from supplier
  • Ensure that delivery KPIs are met in terms of processing and forwarding time

Qualifications and personal skills

  • Vessel Technical knowledge

  • Experience for vessels offshore. 
  • Good collaborative skills
  • Better understanding of maintenance system (AMOS) and IFS
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft office
  • You possess energy and drive
  • You have a solution oriented attitude.
  • You are a team-player, but also demonstrate the ability to work independently.
  • You work efficiently, and achieve results on time.
  • You possess excellent communication skills.
  • Able and willing to adapt and function in diverse situations with diverse business cultures on all continents.
