Holdingselskaper
Do you have experience in the aviation industry and want to develop as a leader? Are you motivated by taking responsibility and initiative to improve work processes, create a good work environment, and promote effective collaboration? Then you might be the right fit for us!
Kongsberg Aviation Maintenance Services (KAMS) is a leading player in military aviation, dedicated to providing high-quality maintenance services for various aircraft. KAMS' engine depot for maintenance and upgrades of F135 engines for the F-35 has been operational at Rygge since 2020. Now, Kongsberg Gruppen is expanding and investing in a national airframe depot for the F-35 fighter jets at Rygge. This depot is set to be completed in the second half of 2025 and will contribute to strengthening national expertise and increasing the operational availability of the Norwegian F-35 fleet.
Join us on this journey and help shape the future of Norwegian aviation technology!
About the role:
As Manager Maintenance, you will be responsible for the daily operations in the hangar, focusing on maintenance, upgrades, modifications, and improvements of the F-35 throughout the aircraft's lifespan. You will lead work distribution and ensure efficient use of work time, while also monitoring health, safety, and environment (HSE) in the hangar. Your role includes reporting progress to the Base Maintenance Manager F-35 and ensuring compliance with KAMS QMS and HSE regulations. Furthermore, you will implement appropriate processes, methods, and tools according to specifications to achieve optimal results.
Team Well-being and Collaboration:
- Create a positive work environment with a focus on well-being and collaboration.
- Motivate and support the team to ensure good workdays and promote a strong community.
HSE Follow-up:
- Monitor and follow up on health, safety, and environment (HSE) in the hangar, including FOD Walks, fire safety checks, and HSE inspections.
- Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with KAMS QMS, HSE regulations, and other relevant directives.
Information Flow and Reporting:
- Ensure effective information flow to the team and continuously update the Base Maintenance Manager F-35 on the team's progress.
- Prepare and participate in status and progress meetings at KAMS.
Quality and Process Management:
- Ensure that appropriate processes, methods, and tools are used and calibrated according to specifications.
Who are you?
To qualify for the role, you must:
- Have relevant education at the college/university level. Relevant experience can compensate for the lack of formal education.
- Have a desire to develop as a leader. If you have previous leadership experience, it is an advantage.
- Be able to obtain security clearance up to Norwegian Secret/NATO Secret (see NSM.no).
- Have good Norwegian and English language skills, both oral and written.
It is not a requirement, but if you have experience and knowledge of the F-35 program, it will be an advantage.
To succeed and thrive with us, we are looking for someone with the following personal qualities:
- Relationship skills: You have a trustworthy manner and are good at building and developing strong relationships with those around you.
- Solution- and collaboration-oriented: You are always on the lookout for the best solutions. You support good and efficient collaboration with your ability to share knowledge, be curious, and communicate clearly. You are positive and good at motivating those around you.
- Quality- and detail-oriented: You are focused on delivering quality on time and work systematically and structured. You are used to working according to requirements and guidelines and understand the value of keeping your “toolbox” organized.
- Delivery-oriented: You have a burning passion for delivering results with quality on time.
Who are we?
Since the start of military aviation in Norway, KAMS and its predecessors have played a significant role in the Norwegian aviation industry. We have adapted to the new developments in aviation, but our dedication to innovation and reliability has never changed. Continuous improvement is a main focus area for us, and we will continue to raise our quality and live up to our vision "World-class - through people, technology, and commitment."
Today, we are flying higher than ever before, and we are incredibly proud to have become a world-class provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul on several flying platforms - and we still have great growth ambitions! In recent years, we have entered into a strategic partnership with the Armed Forces and collaborate with international actors such as Lockheed Martin, Pratt & Whitney, Leonardo NHI, and Airbus.
We offer:
- Development opportunities: You will experience professional and personal development in an environment with dedicated and experienced colleagues. As a leader at KAMS, you will play a central role in our continued success. You will have significant responsibility and influence. We offer great development opportunities at KAMS and in Kongsberg Gruppen in general.
- Great work environment: Be part of a company in strong growth where you get to collaborate with exciting customers and partners. We can promise you a supportive and inclusive work environment where we also have a lot of fun together, both at work and during social activities and gatherings.
- Flexibility and balance: Something we also appreciate is our favorable flextime arrangement, which contributes to experiencing flexibility when needed and a good work-life balance.
- Security and economic benefits: We have good insurance and pension and offer all our permanent employees’ participation in the KOG Share Program.
