We are looking to hire a Development Project Manager with strong leadership and team management skills to join the Thruster Systems business unit at Kongsberg Maritime Finland. In this role, you will lead key development projects, combining a detail-oriented approach with the ability to inspire and guide teams to deliver world-class solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to manage diverse projects across various business areas, including engineering, manufacturing, delivery, and support functions. You will also coordinate global initiatives and identify new opportunities to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Key accountabilities

• Manage new product introduction and technology projects
• Manage and drive development projects independently
• Lead the project and coordinate activities between engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, service departments, as well as sales and contracting
• Report on project progress and outcomes, ensuring clear and timely communication

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in a commercial or engineering discipline
• Strong project management, leadership, and financial acumen
• Experience with POD propulsion systems and their applications (advantageous)
• Proficiency in spoken and written English; Finnish, Swedish, or Norwegian language skills are an advantage
• Willingness to travel as required

• Employ a structured and methodical approach, set clear priorities, plan ahead, and allocate resources efficiently to achieve goals
• Maintain a comprehensive view of multiple projects, ensuring alignment with objectives and seamless execution
