Accounts Executive

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Executive to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting functions, and supporting both internal and external financial reporting processes. This role is crucial in maintaining financial integrity, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting activities.

What you will be doing
- Maintain accurate records and filing systems to support all accounting entries, including proper documentation and inventory stock control.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between records and bank statements.
- Process intercompany transactions, vendor payments, and staff claims in a timely and accurate manner
- Manage accounts payable, including invoice verification, payment voucher preparation, and fund disbursement via telegraphic transfer.
- Ensure all invoices are properly authorized and accurately posted to the correct account codes and cost centers.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts regularly to support financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly journal entries, including those for fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, and interest expenses.
- Handle accounts receivable processes, including recording incoming payments and following up on outstanding collections.
- Assist in periodic inventory reconciliation and adjustments as required.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including timely and accurate submission of SST and e-Invoices.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including audit preparation and financial analysis.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of accounting processes, internal controls, and documentation.
- Perform any other duties or ad-hoc tasks assigned by management from time to time.
We think you should have
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, SQL, or similar).
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
