Aker Solutions' yard in Verdal has delivered complex projects to the oil and gas industry for over 50 years. The yard is specialized in deliveries of wellhead platforms, steel substructure for the oil and gas industry, as well as for offshore wind and aquaculture. We have large outdoor and indoor facilities for material storage, prefabrication and assembly of complex steel structures. We also have good capacity and modern equipment such as cranes and transport equipment, facilities for surface treatment and service.

The industry is in an important period of a restructuring, and Aker Solutions in Verdal will help to accelerate the transition to sustainable energy production. We are therefore building a new factory and production line, where we will use a world-leading manufacturing technology that will enable us to meet the green shift and the markets of tomorrow. The yard will contribute to efficient production and will implement a learning organizational culture with a high degree of autonomy, in a factory where people and machines work side by side.

We are seeking a leader who is able and motivated to contribute, and to make sure we reach our goals. It is important that our yard director sees the value of being an active and engaged part of the local business community, and is able to understand and deal with both internal and external stakeholders. Our new yard director will play a crucial part in maintaining a close and well-functioning collaboration with both our projects, our other yards and locations, as well as the rest of the Aker Solutions company. Our yard director will have the overall responsibility for the yard execution, the yard facilities and the resource governance. This includes both our employees and the hired-in resources. You will report to, and work closely with, the leader of all the yards in the New Build segment in Aker Solutions.

Kvalifikasjoner:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree, within business and/or technical.
• Experience from base organization management, as well as in-depth knowledge of our business, project implementation and delivery models.
• Leadership track record in large scale business cross geographies and multi-cultural experience, preferably held a PM/PD role in an EPCI project.
• Proven leadership experience according to company values and leadership principles.
• Ability to see the “big picture “– and understand the expectations of key stakeholders both in the organization and toward local community.
• Strategic and analytic, with financial and commercial acumen.
• Focused on change and change management – ability to identify, implement and embrace change.
• Service and performance focused – deliver as promised and be able to handle several interfaces.
• Cultural awareness – being able to work in a global environment and communicate well with all levels in the organisation.
