We are seeking a Technical Manager for Aftermarket Projects in Kongsberg Maritime’s division Global Customer Support. We need engineers with determination and ability to solve challenging technical tasks within short time frames.

 

You will be involved in activities related to technical sales support to the sailing fleet worldwide, ranging from new products to turn-key conversions. In this role you will make a measurable difference to the reduction of carbon footprint of the maritime industry through aftermarket upgrades with electrification and integrated solutions.

 

In Aftermarket Projects we upgrade or replace Systems either from Kongsberg Maritime or other makers. Our department is responsible for the Aftermarket project portfolio, and you will join a global team, delivering the full picture from Kongsberg Maritime.

 

Key accountabilities

• Lead the technical tendering process for INTSOL, overseeing multi-disciplinary competence areas.
• Responsible for the technical specification and input to cost calculation for INTSOL complete packages. Including equipment, resources and technical handover from sales to projects.
• Manage all integration and interfaces with existing asset and provide technical assistance to customers, suppliers, internal stakeholders, class and national authorities
• Owner of responsibility matrix for INTSOL deliverables.
• Design electrical packages that fulfil client requirements. Progressing from requirements capture, feasibility studies and through to concept design.
• Technical responsible for all high voltage (6.6 – 11 kV) offerings in the aftermarket.
• Provide technical reference and guidance to equipment suppliers, internal departments and customers.

 

Qualifications and experience

• Master or bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experienced High voltage engineer, with experience from Switchboards and Drives.
• On-site experience from refit and conversions at maintenance and repair yards.
• Capacity to interpretate Piping and instrumentation diagrams, Architectural and Mechanical documents
• Competent user of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Microsoft Projects
• Good communication skills in English
