Senior Financial Controller in Group Treasury

Group Treasury shall ensure that Statkraft manages financial risk successfully. This is done by securing the future cash flow from our operations and by ensuring financial flexibility. Group Treasury has 35 employees in 5 departments. Back Office & Risk Control (TRB) is a department in the Treasury organization and counts 9 employees. TRB is responsible for:

  • Ensuring that financial transactions are correctly registered into the Treasury Management System (CRM) and that the settlement of the transaction is conducted accurately and timely
  • Booking, controlling and reporting of financial items in the Group’s internal and external financial reports
  • Monitoring that Front Office is compliant with mandates and internal requirements. The result is being reported to the CFO

Your role: 

  • Perform accounting, control and analysis of the group’s financial items and related balance sheet items
  • Perform credit assessment and monitor group credit risk
  • Control, analyse and challenge Front Office’ activities 
  • Assist in middle office projects
  • Responsible for pricing (including pricing methodology) of internal loans and guarantees
  • Process owner of the Cash Collateral Process
  • Assist in EMIR tasks
  • System administrator for Cash Collateral System (TriResolve)
  • Co-system administrator of the Treasury Management System (CRM)
  • Lead or assist in digitalization initiatives
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects

  Your profile: 

  • Master or similar degree in finance and/or accounting
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets
  • Minimum 5 years of experience from similar position in corporate treasury and/or banks
  • Extensive system knowledge and skills related to Excel, Reuters, Power BI and treasury management systems/CRM
  • Strong knowledge in accounting of relevant financial instruments, both NGAAP and IFRS
  • Strong knowledge on the group’s currency effects, both the underlying currency exposure, effects on the income statements and effects on other comprehensive income
  • Knowledge about regulatory requirements such as for instance EMIR and MAR
  • Fluency in Norwegian and English both written and spoken
  • Proactive, dutiful, structured, analytical and self-driven
  • Service minded and well-developed collaboration and communication skills
  • Credibility with senior management, peers and collaborators
  • Able to handle tight deadlines and to work on several projects simultaneously
  • Flexible and willing to contribute on several tasks within Treasury
  • Project Manager skills
