The position is dedicated to clinical testing of new methodology for treatment of colon and rectum cancer as part of a large research project funded by the European Commission under the EU Horizon programme. The Consultant will lead the project and different working packages as assigned with the research team and department leadership.

It is a requirement that position holder has detailed knowledge and expertise in advanced gastrointestinal endoscopy in general, and diagnostic and therapeutic endosocpist techniques for colorectal polyps and cancer. In addition, strong leadership and research experience is a requirement.

Applicants are invited for a three year, 30 % position as Consultant in gastroenterology and Clinical Effectiveness Research at the Department of Transplantation Medicine, Clinical effectiveness research group, Oslo University Hospital. With posibility for extension of the contract period.

Starting date: As soon as possible. 

 

Kvalifikasjoner:

Applicants must:

• hold a degree equivalent to a Norwegian doctoral degree in medicine
  
• be board-certified as gastroenteroligist
  
• have extensive experience in advanced gastrointestinal endoscopy
• be fluent oral and written communication skills in English

Applicants should:

• have knowledge and expertise in clinical epidemiology and handling of large databases
• have a strong methodological expertise, and interest and experience in clinical trials and data analysis tools
