Researcher with PhD in hypothermic cardiac arrest research
Join the Institute for Experimental Medical Research (IEMR), one of the internationally leading teams in translational heart research. We invite applications for a 3-year researcher position, as part of the project RE-HEAT: Prehospital Prevention and Treatment of Hypothermic Cardiac Arrest. This project examines pharmacological interventions and ECG-based risk stratification to improve prevention, treatment and prediction of hypothermia-induced cardiac arrest, using an advanced large-animal model, cell and organ models, as well as clinical data. As a researcher in our group, you will work with state-of-the-art methodologies within a collaborative, interdisciplinary research environment, while contributing to research that directly informs future treatment strategies for hypothermia-induced arrhythmias. The project is financed by the Norwegian Air Ambulance Foundation and will be conducted in the Translational cardiovascular pharmacology group, led by Professor Erik Sveberg Dietrichs.
Who we are – the Institute for Experimental Medical Research:
IEMR, located at Oslo University Hospital (OUS) and University of Oslo (UiO) is an innovative and dynamic medical research environment with approximately 50% international researchers, and relies on close interaction between MDs, physicists, physiologists, molecular biologists, engineers and mathematicians.
