Quality Assurance Specialist

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to be a part of our Buying & Production department. Together with the quality assurance team, you play a role in ensuring the goods we sell are safe and meet our quality standards, and that the sustainable impacts of our products are taken into consideration. Part of the position also includes working with sustainability together with the sustainability team, addressing issues such as, animal welfare, preferred fibres and materials and sustainability reporting.

Together with the team you will work closely with our buyers, our global production offices Turkey, China, Bangladesh, India and our suppliers in the global supply chain.

We seek a colleague who is passionate and positive with a great interest for product quality and product safety. The working languages are Norwegian and English. You will work for our office at Slependen and report directly to the QA Manager.

What does the role entail?

  • Perform in-house quality testing, evaluate results, and give guidance to the buying organization.
  • Help to implement different sustainable certifications.
  • Develop and implement Product Quality Requirements including both physical requirements and chemical restrictions.
  • Participate in developing and executing internal training programs for quality assurance and sustainability.
  • Participate in developing and monitoring quality assurance projects.
  • Support the sustainability team in developing and maintaining the goals and protocols that we have set.

In addition, you:

  • Have a degree in Textile engineering or Quality Management
  • Have relevant experience from the garment industry or experience in a similar position
  • Have a strong interest in sustainability.
  • Possess excellent communication skills in English, both written and orally
  • Are familiar with product testing and regulations and a great understanding of production processes, preferably linked to the garment and textile industry
