We are currently seeking a QHSE Manager to effectively manage Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and Security at the Kongsberg Maritime Aberdeen facility and for Kongsberg Maritime (KM) and Kongsberg Discovery (KD) Aberdeen employees, reporting into the Site Accountable structure for the Aberdeen facility. The QHSE Manager will also have the role of Site Facility Manager for Aberdeen facility ensuring that buildings and services meet the needs of the business and the people that work in them.
What you will be doingQHSE:- Governance: Ensure that QHSE governance (structure, process and content) is managed according to the KM Business Management System, including the QHSE Accountability Framework, working in partnership with Management. Monitor the effectiveness of the governance structures and provide subject matter expertise.
- Standards and Compliance: Ensure that the KM QHSE policies, processes and procedures are implemented according to the KM Business Management System and support and deliver improvements.
- Manage the Quality certification and audit requirements for the Site, including ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and ISO27001 certificates and audit programme, covering both internal and external audits.
- Manage the QHSE system (Synergi) for the Site including Site deployment, training, raising of cases, timely closure of actions and management of the audit programme and actions. Lead improvements on system reporting, dashboards and user experience improvements for the Site.
- Ensure QHSE and Security legal compliance for KM Aberdeen. Liaise with Local Authorities on any relevant QHSE matters.
- Emergency Management: Based on effective risk management, manage the Incident Management Plan and Emergency Planning process for the Site and Employees, including identifying the local emergency scenarios and ensure effective emergency responses. To include business continuity planning.
- Learning from Incident Investigation: Ensure that the KM HSE reporting system (Synergi) is used and respond to HSE incidents and maintain communications on the situation as needed, liaise with managers to undertake and complete investigations.
- Maintain a record of all HSE training and ensure refreshers and planned and completed.
- Risk Management: Maintain good and proactive QHSE and Security risk management, including improvement and ensuring that QHSE critical controls are identified, controlled and managed effectively. This applies to all aspects of the defined Business including Service Engineering and Operations. Develop a risk-based assurance programme that meets business requirements, co-ordinating mitigating actions.
- Record, monitor and manage delivery of QHSE business KPI's as defined by the KM QHSE Functions (including Accidents, Near Miss, TRI, Energy Usage, Waste, CoNQ, etc)
- Manage the Environmental and Sustainability requirements for the Site including improvements and Company and Regulatory requirements.
- Support and enable a healthy workplace, working closely with Site Accountable and HR
- Be Site Security Responsible (SSR) for the Site, manage security certification (ISO27001), requirements and improvements according to KM security guidance.
- Daily operations of facility services (Building and property services, cleaning services, workplace services, building security services, and infrastructure services)
- Facilities budget responsibility for site
- Assess and successfully resolve any issues that may arise with minimal disruption to business operation.
- Ensure Facility services is compliant according to KM ISO certifications (9000,14000,27000,45000)
- Ensure compliance to laws and regulations.
- Follow up requirements defined by the property lease contract.
- Support sublet activity as required.

- Degree (or equivalent) and/or professional certifications.
- Experience working in a quality/HSE management role.
- Product & Services understanding and awareness.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written.
- Experience in dealing with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail, structured and organised, meeting milestone commitments.
- Process and compliance focused.
- Good influencing skills, working with others at all levels and positive engagement.
- Regulatory and Legal awareness.
- Ability to work with the KM company management systems and office based systems.
