Kongsberg Maritime Subsea, located in Horten, is a world leading company in many fields within underwater acoustics and instrumentation. We expect increased activity in the Naval sonar group where we specialise in manufacturing and deliveries of sonars and sensors within the segments of Anti-Submarine Warfare, Maritime Mine Counter Measurements and Harbour Surveillance. To further strengthen and develop our sonar specialist environment we have a vacant position as Project Engineer. The position requires security clearance from Norwegian Authorities. 

 

Tasks and work areas:

• Technical work/engineering in deliveries and development projects
• Validation and Setting to Work
• Technical writing: Procedures/Product documentation
• Analysis: Product Integrated Logistics/Safety/Risk
• Support to technical bid-team
• Some travelling 

 

Qualifications / experience:

Higher technical education. Knowledge and experience with acoustics sensors and applications will be beneficial. Knowledge within some of the following areas: Computer hardware; Computer Operating systems; System and Software security; Network & switches; General analogue and digital hardware.

 

Personal skills:

Customer focused and positive attitude. Quality minded, self-driven and structured in your work. Solution oriented. Good communication skills and team oriented. Main language is Norwegian but you should master English good both verbally and in writing.
