Energy Solutions is a part of our Integrated Solutions Division, responsible for product and technology development, supply chain operations, and project delivery for all Kongsberg's Automation, Bridge Systems, and Energy products and solutions.

As Manager Energy Solutions, you will play a leading role in our journey towards greener shipping. You will be responsible for designing solution roadmaps and developing energy solutions, defining and meeting profitability goals, applying engineering solutions into tenders, performing critical design reviews, acting as a point of escalation, and leading innovation efforts to provide requirements to Energy Product Management.

You should be able to develop an ambitious but realistic business vision, identify commercial opportunities, and have a strong positive impact on business growth and profitability. You should be able to execute plans with commitment and determination, demonstrate specialist knowledge and expertise in your area, and communicate in a clear, precise, and structured way.

Qualifications and experience

To qualify for this role, we prefer a candidate with an MSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. You should have a strong background in designing maritime power systems, in particular DC-based systems, energy storage solutions, hybrid systems, and zero-emission power systems. You should also have a good understanding of existing and future energy concepts for the maritime and offshore markets and a complete understanding of the competitive landscape. Experience with OPU or FLNG is an advantage, but not mandatory.

 

Work location and contact person

The preferred work location is Kongsberg, Sandefjord or Bergen, but other Kongsberg Maritime locations such as Ålesund, Trondheim, and Oslo may be considered.
