International Trainee Programme: Procurement Agent Trainee, Group Procurement.

Statkraft’s International Trainee Programme is a great introduction into working life. You will spend 16 months learning and developing yourself alongside other graduates, and kick start your career in renewables. The programme consists of three job rotations across the company, of which at least one will be abroad. As a trainee, you will participate in various professional development courses and gatherings to acquire new skills and share experiences. You will also become a part of our brand-new CEO-led Future Board – an advisory board made up of trainees and young professionals at Statkraft who will advise and challenge our CEO on key issues and topics. For the first time ever, young professionals get a seat at the table, and will help shape our future here at Statkraft.  

 

Procurement Agent Trainee, Group Procurement  
Location: Oslo 

As a trainee in EPP, you will join and contribute the Category teams for civil and electro-mechanical works and services. In this role you will conduct spend and market analytics to develop and ensure effective strategies and relationship management with our suppliers.   

In this role you’ll learn to: 

  • Perform spend analysis and supplier market research as input for category and project strategies 

  • Promote and implement category strategies in the regions 

  • Contribute making category management’s performance measurable. Develop and maintain respective dashboard solutions.  

  • Play an active role in managing the relations to our key suppliers with a special focus on Sustainable Supply Chain Management 

  • Provide category specific contract management support to refurbishment projects at the existing hydropower plants.  

  • Support Group Procurement for the Business Areas Production and Markets by working towards procurement excellence.  

About you: 

  • Master’s degree in Industrial engineering and/or Business, typically with a major in Logistics, Operations and Supply Chain Management.  

  • Analytical skills and motivation to work diligently with supplier markets intelligence 

  • Understanding of the project process with a special focus on procurement and contract management.  

  • Strong cooperation and communication skills 

  • Ability to be hands-on and perform high quality work within tight deadlines 

  • Will be based at Oslo, but traveling to the powerplants is to be expected  

  • Fluency in English required (other languages are advantageous)
