Statkraft’s International Trainee Programme is a great introduction into working life. You will spend 16 months learning and developing yourself alongside other graduates, and kick start your career in renewables. The programme consists of three job rotations across the company, of which at least one will be abroad. As a trainee, you will participate in various professional development courses and gatherings to acquire new skills and share experiences. You will also become a part of our brand-new CEO-led Future Board – an advisory board made up of trainees and young professionals at Statkraft who will advise and challenge our CEO on key issues and topics. For the first time ever, young professionals get a seat at the table, and will help shape our future here at Statkraft. 

We have three trainee positions available across this area. Please specify on your application if you have a preference for a particular focus area.  

Trainee in Corporate Strategy and Analysis 
Location: Oslo.  

The Corporate Strategy & Analysis department is responsible for Statkraft’s long term market analysis, on a global level and across all markets. We are also responsible for developing the strategy for Statkraft group. Together with top management and business leaders, we are a key driving force for shaping Statkraft’s future development. Being one of our critical business enabler functions, we are the backbone to everything we do at Statkraft, providing seamless and value-adding work to the organisation, and playing an important role in our mission towards a carbon free future. The unit consists of 30 people across three departments working closely with the business areas in Statkraft to drive analysis and strategy work.  

As a trainee in the Corporate strategy and analysis unit, you’ll work every day with big questions like: How will the world respond to the climate challenge and how will that impact the energy markets? How will politics in each of our geographies influence the power markets and translate into opportunities for a renewable energy company like Statkraft? What is the right strategy for Statkraft and for our business areas? 

Trainee in Business Development, European Wind and Solar. 
Location: London or Oslo. 

The business area European Wind and Solar (“E”) is responsible for developing, acquiring, owning and operating renewable assets in selected markets in Europe. The business area is also responsible for delivering shared services such as Project Delivery, Project Management Office, and Procurement and for creating new, profitable business initiatives within electrification, decarbonization and serve new power demand. The newly established Organisational Development unit works to drive development and continuous improvement of our operations, including process improvements and digitalization initiatives.
