Head of Wind & Solar Poland (f/m/d)

Statkraft is a leading company in hydropower internationally and Europe’s largest generator of renewable energy. The Group produces hydropower, wind power, solar power, gas-fired power and supplies district heating.

Statkraft aims at a 1.5 – 2.0 GW of yearly wind and solar developments in Europe after 2025. To reach that target we have decided to expand our business to Poland. We are targeting organic greenfield development as a starting point but expect to use co-developments and project acquisitions as well to reach critical mass. While we believe that we can add value along the full value chain of wind and solar from development to operations we have recently often partnered with financial investors and sold projects post-construction.

 

As a Head of Wind & Solar Poland you will:

  • Continuously develop our market entry strategy
  • Monitor markets and identify attractive segments
  • Develop a project pipeline by identifying and evaluating divers wind and solar investments
  • Develop and monitor projects from site identification to COD
  • Build your own team of experts to manage all the projects and activities
  • Be the point of contact for local authorities
  • While you will drive the activities in the respective country you will be integrated into Statkraft’s wider management team who will deliver financing, market and technical support

 

Your profile:

  • Degree in engineering, economy, business or science
  • Comprehensive experience in energy sector
  • Proven track record in business and project development
  • Commercial drive and motivation to build the business
  • Experience in entering new markets would be an advantage
  • Excellent team-player with very good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highest level of personal integrity
  • Creativity and an innovative spirit
  • Fluency in English and Polish
