Your mission

As an Automation Engineer in DNB Corporate Banking you will work in teams of 8 to 12 people. You will be a part of a fixed team responsible for specific digital channels (web, mobile). Your work will relate to building the AWS infrastructure as code, automating the environments, enable the CI/CD pipeline, all in all to make every day work for the development team as smooth and simple as possible. You will be able to work with different cloud technologies, to build complex IT applications to be used on a daily basis by DNB’s 200.000 corporate customers.

Your experience and knowledge

We would love if you are in possession of the following six skills: 1) detail oriented, 2) experimental (to always find the best available solution), 3) great will to learn, 4) proactive, 5) collaborative mindset and 6) you are proud to be a nerd…

You should have experience from Linux terminal and scripting (bash, phyton, etc.), and you should be able to explain why GIT is a necessity. Your experience includes at least one configuration tool, like Ansible, Puppet or Salt. We use Amazon Web Services, and you should have general to high knowledge from their cloud universe. Services like CloudFormation, CDK and Terraform are important for you to do your job. You should have knowledge from working with CI/CD, based on personal experience you know what DevOps is (and why it is important).

We think that you have completed relevant higher education, but we also acknowledge that relevant experience may make up for this.

Who are you?

Do you like to experiment and to dig into complex systems? In that case, you should apply for this job. Are you dedicated and put a lot of effort into doing a great job? Perfect! But almost equally important is your ability to be a good team member. You don’t have to be extrovert and super social all the time, but we do expect you to collaborate with your team members and take part in our technical discussions. You must be patient (yes, DNB is a huge organization, and some things takes a bit more time than we like…). At the same time the workload is high, and we always have a loaded backlog. Priority is an important skill and being able to focus on what you or the team have decided to do.
